NIV Parallel NLT [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New International VersionNew Living Translation
A psalm of David. When he fled from his son Absalom. LORD, how many are my foes! How many rise up against me!1O LORD, I have so many enemies; so many are against me.
Many are saying of me, "God will not deliver him."2So many are saying, “God will never rescue him!” Interlude
But you, LORD, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high.3But you, O LORD, are a shield around me; you are my glory, the one who holds my head high.
I call out to the LORD, and he answers me from his holy mountain.4I cried out to the LORD, and he answered me from his holy mountain. Interlude
I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the LORD sustains me.5I lay down and slept, yet I woke up in safety, for the LORD was watching over me.
I will not fear though tens of thousands assail me on every side.6I am not afraid of ten thousand enemies who surround me on every side.
Arise, LORD! Deliver me, my God! Strike all my enemies on the jaw; break the teeth of the wicked.7Arise, O LORD! Rescue me, my God! Slap all my enemies in the face! Shatter the teeth of the wicked!
From the LORD comes deliverance. May your blessing be on your people.8Victory comes from you, O LORD. May you bless your people. Interlude
