1Praise the LORD. Praise the LORD from the heavens; praise him in the heights above.1Hallelujah! Praise the LORD from the heavens; praise Him in the heights.
2Praise him, all his angels; praise him, all his heavenly hosts.2Praise Him, all His angels; praise Him, all His hosts.
3Praise him, sun and moon; praise him, all you shining stars.3Praise Him, sun and moon; praise Him, all you shining stars.
4Praise him, you highest heavens and you waters above the skies.4Praise Him, highest heavens, and you waters above the heavens.
5Let them praise the name of the LORD, for at his command they were created,5Let them praise the name of Yahweh, for He commanded, and they were created.
6and he established them for ever and ever-- he issued a decree that will never pass away.6He set them in position forever and ever; He gave an order that will never pass away.
7Praise the LORD from the earth, you great sea creatures and all ocean depths,7Praise the LORD from the earth, all sea monsters and ocean depths,
8lightning and hail, snow and clouds, stormy winds that do his bidding,8lightning and hail, snow and cloud, powerful wind that executes His command,
9you mountains and all hills, fruit trees and all cedars,9mountains and all hills, fruit trees and all cedars,
10wild animals and all cattle, small creatures and flying birds,10wild animals and all cattle, creatures that crawl and flying birds,
11kings of the earth and all nations, you princes and all rulers on earth,11kings of the earth and all peoples, princes and all judges of the earth,
12young men and women, old men and children.12young men as well as young women, old and young together.
13Let them praise the name of the LORD, for his name alone is exalted; his splendor is above the earth and the heavens.13Let them praise the name of Yahweh, for His name alone is exalted. His majesty covers heaven and earth.
14And he has raised up for his people a horn, the praise of all his faithful servants, of Israel, the people close to his heart. Praise the LORD.14He has raised up a horn for His people, resulting in praise to all His godly ones, to the Israelites, the people close to Him. Hallelujah!
