Praise the LORD. How good it is to sing praises to our God, how pleasant and fitting to praise him!1Hallelujah! How good it is to sing to our God, for praise is pleasant and lovely.
The LORD builds up Jerusalem; he gathers the exiles of Israel.2The LORD rebuilds Jerusalem; He gathers Israel's exiled people.
He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.3He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
He determines the number of the stars and calls them each by name.4He counts the number of the stars; He gives names to all of them.
Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit.5Our Lord is great, vast in power; His understanding is infinite.
The LORD sustains the humble but casts the wicked to the ground.6The LORD helps the afflicted but brings the wicked to the ground.
Sing to the LORD with grateful praise; make music to our God on the harp.7Sing to the LORD with thanksgiving; play the lyre to our God,
He covers the sky with clouds; he supplies the earth with rain and makes grass grow on the hills.8who covers the sky with clouds, prepares rain for the earth, and causes grass to grow on the hills.
He provides food for the cattle and for the young ravens when they call.9He provides the animals with their food, and the young ravens, what they cry for.
His pleasure is not in the strength of the horse, nor his delight in the legs of the warrior;10He is not impressed by the strength of a horse; He does not value the power of a man.
the LORD delights in those who fear him, who put their hope in his unfailing love.11The LORD values those who fear Him, those who put their hope in His faithful love.
Extol the LORD, Jerusalem; praise your God, Zion.12Exalt the LORD, Jerusalem; praise your God, Zion!
He strengthens the bars of your gates and blesses your people within you.13For He strengthens the bars of your gates and blesses your children within you.
He grants peace to your borders and satisfies you with the finest of wheat.14He endows your territory with prosperity; He satisfies you with the finest wheat.
He sends his command to the earth; his word runs swiftly.15He sends His command throughout the earth; His word runs swiftly.
He spreads the snow like wool and scatters the frost like ashes.16He spreads snow like wool; He scatters frost like ashes;
He hurls down his hail like pebbles. Who can withstand his icy blast?17He throws His hailstones like crumbs. Who can withstand His cold?
He sends his word and melts them; he stirs up his breezes, and the waters flow.18He sends His word and melts them; He unleashes His winds, and the waters flow.
He has revealed his word to Jacob, his laws and decrees to Israel.19He declares His word to Jacob, His statutes and judgments to Israel.
He has done this for no other nation; they do not know his laws. Praise the LORD.20He has not done this for any nation; they do not know His judgments. Hallelujah!
