NIV Parallel ISV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New International VersionInternational Standard Version
Praise the LORD. Praise the name of the LORD; praise him, you servants of the LORD,1Hallelujah! Praise the name of the LORD! Give praise, you servants of the LORD,
you who minister in the house of the LORD, in the courts of the house of our God.2you who are standing in the LORD's Temple, in the courtyards of the house of our God.
Praise the LORD, for the LORD is good; sing praise to his name, for that is pleasant.3Praise the LORD, because the LORD is good; Sing to his name, for he is gracious.
For the LORD has chosen Jacob to be his own, Israel to be his treasured possession.4It is Jacob whom the LORD chose for himself— Israel as his personal possession.
I know that the LORD is great, that our Lord is greater than all gods.5Indeed, I know that the LORD is great, and that our Lord surpasses all gods.
The LORD does whatever pleases him, in the heavens and on the earth, in the seas and all their depths.6The LORD does whatever pleases him in heaven and on earth, in the seas and all its deep regions.
He makes clouds rise from the ends of the earth; he sends lightning with the rain and brings out the wind from his storehouses.7He makes the clouds rise from the ends of the earth, fashioning lightning for the rain, bringing the wind from his storehouses.
He struck down the firstborn of Egypt, the firstborn of people and animals.8It was the LORD who struck down the firstborn of Egypt, including both men and animals.
He sent his signs and wonders into your midst, Egypt, against Pharaoh and all his servants.9He sent signs and wonders among you, Egypt, before Pharaoh and all his servants.
He struck down many nations and killed mighty kings--10He struck down many nations, killing many kings—
Sihon king of the Amorites, Og king of Bashan, and all the kings of Canaan--11Sihon, king of the Amorites, Og, king of Bashan, and every kingdom of Canaan—
and he gave their land as an inheritance, an inheritance to his people Israel.12and he gave their land as an inheritance, an inheritance to his people Israel.
Your name, LORD, endures forever, your renown, LORD, through all generations.13Your name, LORD, exists forever, and your reputation, LORD, throughout the ages.
For the LORD will vindicate his people and have compassion on his servants.14For the LORD will vindicate his people, and he will show compassion on his servants.
The idols of the nations are silver and gold, made by human hands.15The idols of the nations are silver and gold, worked by the hands of human beings.
They have mouths, but cannot speak, eyes, but cannot see.16Mouths are attributed to them, but they cannot speak; sight is attributed to them, but they cannot see;
They have ears, but cannot hear, nor is there breath in their mouths.17ears are attributed to them, but they do not hear, and there is no breath in their mouths.
Those who make them will be like them, and so will all who trust in them.18Those who craft them— and all who trust in them— will become like them.
All you Israelites, praise the LORD; house of Aaron, praise the LORD;19House of Israel, bless the LORD! House of Aaron, bless the LORD!
house of Levi, praise the LORD; you who fear him, praise the LORD.20House of Levi, bless the LORD! You who fear the LORD, bless the LORD!
Praise be to the LORD from Zion, to him who dwells in Jerusalem. Praise the LORD.21Blessed be the LORD from Zion, he who lives in Jerusalem. Hallelujah!
