| 3"Therefore, son of man, pack your belongings for exile and in the daytime, as they watch, set out and go from where you are to another place. During the day, while they are watching, pretend to go into exile. Go from where you live to another place. Perhaps they will understand, although they are a rebellious house. |
| 4During the daytime, while they watch, bring out your belongings packed for exile. | 10"Say to them, 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: This prophecy concerns the prince in Jerusalem and all the Israelites who are there.' | 10Say to them, 'This is what the sovereign LORD says: The prince will raise this burden in Jerusalem, and all the house of Israel within it.' |
| 11Say to them, 'I am a sign to you.' "As I have done, so it will be done to them. They will go into exile as captives. | 11Say, 'I am an object lesson for you. Just as I have done, it will be done to them; they will go into exile and captivity.' |
| 12"The prince among them will put his things on his shoulder at dusk and leave, and a hole will be dug in the wall for him to go through. | 19Say to the people of the land: 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says about those living in Jerusalem and in the land of Israel: They will eat their food in anxiety and drink their water in despair, for their land will be stripped of everything in it because of the violence of all who live there. | 19Then say to the people of the land, 'This is what the sovereign LORD says about the inhabitants of Jerusalem and of the land of Israel: They will eat their bread with anxiety and drink their water in fright, for their land will be stripped bare of all it contains because of the violence of all who live in it. |
| 20The inhabited towns will be laid waste and the land will be desolate. Then you will know that I am the LORD.'" | 20The inhabited towns will be left in ruins and the land will be devastated. Then you will know that I am the LORD.'" |

| 23Say to them, 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: I am going to put an end to this proverb, and they will no longer quote it in Israel.' Say to them, 'The days are near when every vision will be fulfilled. | 23Therefore tell them, 'This is what the sovereign LORD says: I hereby end this proverb; they will not recite it in Israel any longer.' But say to them, 'The days are at hand when every vision will be fulfilled. |
| 24For there will be no more false visions or flattering divinations among the people of Israel. | 24For there will no longer be any false visions or flattering omens amidst the house of Israel. |
| 25But I the LORD will speak what I will, and it shall be fulfilled without delay. For in your days, you rebellious people, I will fulfill whatever I say, declares the Sovereign LORD.'" | 25For I, the LORD, will speak. Whatever word I speak will be accomplished. It will not be delayed any longer. Indeed in your days, O rebellious house, I will speak the word and accomplish it, declares the sovereign LORD.'" |

| 28"Therefore say to them, 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: None of my words will be delayed any longer; whatever I say will be fulfilled, declares the Sovereign LORD.'" | 28Therefore say to them, 'This is what the sovereign LORD says: None of my words will be delayed any longer! The word I speak will come to pass, declares the sovereign LORD.'" |
