Psalm 65
NIV Parallel NLT [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New International VersionNew Living Translation
For the director of music. A psalm of David. A song. Praise awaits you, our God, in Zion; to you our vows will be fulfilled.1What mighty praise, O God, belongs to you in Zion. We will fulfill our vows to you,
You who answer prayer, to you all people will come.2for you answer our prayers. All of us must come to you.
When we were overwhelmed by sins, you forgave our transgressions.3Though we are overwhelmed by our sins, you forgive them all.
Blessed are those you choose and bring near to live in your courts! We are filled with the good things of your house, of your holy temple.4What joy for those you choose to bring near, those who live in your holy courts. What festivities await us inside your holy Temple.
You answer us with awesome and righteous deeds, God our Savior, the hope of all the ends of the earth and of the farthest seas,5You faithfully answer our prayers with awesome deeds, O God our savior. You are the hope of everyone on earth, even those who sail on distant seas.
who formed the mountains by your power, having armed yourself with strength,6You formed the mountains by your power and armed yourself with mighty strength.
who stilled the roaring of the seas, the roaring of their waves, and the turmoil of the nations.7You quieted the raging oceans with their pounding waves and silenced the shouting of the nations.
The whole earth is filled with awe at your wonders; where morning dawns, where evening fades, you call forth songs of joy.8Those who live at the ends of the earth stand in awe of your wonders. From where the sun rises to where it sets, you inspire shouts of joy.
You care for the land and water it; you enrich it abundantly. The streams of God are filled with water to provide the people with grain, for so you have ordained it.9You take care of the earth and water it, making it rich and fertile. The river of God has plenty of water; it provides a bountiful harvest of grain, for you have ordered it so.
You drench its furrows and level its ridges; you soften it with showers and bless its crops.10You drench the plowed ground with rain, melting the clods and leveling the ridges. You soften the earth with showers and bless its abundant crops.
You crown the year with your bounty, and your carts overflow with abundance.11You crown the year with a bountiful harvest; even the hard pathways overflow with abundance.
The grasslands of the wilderness overflow; the hills are clothed with gladness.12The grasslands of the wilderness become a lush pasture, and the hillsides blossom with joy.
The meadows are covered with flocks and the valleys are mantled with grain; they shout for joy and sing.13The meadows are clothed with flocks of sheep, and the valleys are carpeted with grain. They all shout and sing for joy!
