Praise the LORD! Praise, O servants of the LORD, Praise the name of the LORD!1Hallelujah! Give praise, servants of the LORD; praise the name of the LORD.
Blessed be the name of the LORD From this time forth and forevermore!2Let the name of the LORD be blessed both now and forever.
From the rising of the sun to its going down The LORD’s name is to be praised.3From the rising of the sun to its setting, let the name of the LORD be praised.
The LORD is high above all nations, His glory above the heavens.4The LORD is exalted above all the nations, his glory above the heavens.
Who is like the LORD our God, Who dwells on high,5Who is like the LORD our God--the one enthroned on high,
Who humbles Himself to behold The things that are in the heavens and in the earth?6who stoops down to look on the heavens and the earth?
He raises the poor out of the dust, And lifts the needy out of the ash heap,7He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the trash heap
That He may seat him with princes— With the princes of His people.8in order to seat them with nobles--with the nobles of his people.
He grants the barren woman a home, Like a joyful mother of children. Praise the LORD!9He gives the childless woman a household, making her the joyful mother of children. Hallelujah!
