To the Chief Musician. On an instrument of Gath. A Psalm of the sons of Korah. How lovely is Your tabernacle, O LORD of hosts!1For the choir director: on the Gittith. A psalm of the sons of Korah. How lovely is Your dwelling place, LORD of Hosts.
My soul longs, yes, even faints For the courts of the LORD; My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.2I long and yearn for the courts of the LORD; my heart and flesh cry out for the living God.
Even the sparrow has found a home, And the swallow a nest for herself, Where she may lay her young— Even Your altars, O LORD of hosts, My King and my God.3Even a sparrow finds a home, and a swallow, a nest for herself where she places her young-- near Your altars, LORD of Hosts, my King and my God.
Blessed are those who dwell in Your house; They will still be praising You. Selah4How happy are those who reside in Your house, who praise You continually. Selah
Blessed is the man whose strength is in You, Whose heart is set on pilgrimage.5Happy are the people whose strength is in You, whose hearts are set on pilgrimage.
As they pass through the Valley of Baca, They make it a spring; The rain also covers it with pools.6As they pass through the Valley of Baca, they make it a source of springwater; even the autumn rain will cover it with blessings.
They go from strength to strength; Each one appears before God in Zion.7They go from strength to strength; each appears before God in Zion.

O God, behold our shield, And look upon the face of Your anointed.9Consider our shield, God; look on the face of Your anointed one.
For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God Than dwell in the tents of wickedness.10Better a day in Your courts than a thousand anywhere else. I would rather be at the door of the house of my God than to live in the tents of wicked people.
For the LORD God is a sun and shield; The LORD will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold From those who walk uprightly.11For the LORD God is a sun and shield. The LORD gives grace and glory; He does not withhold the good from those who live with integrity.
O LORD of hosts, Blessed is the man who trusts in You!12Happy is the person who trusts in You, LORD of Hosts!
