Psalm 84
NKJV Parallel ISV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New King James VersionInternational Standard Version
To the Chief Musician. On an instrument of Gath. A Psalm of the sons of Korah. How lovely is Your tabernacle, O LORD of hosts!1How lovely are your dwelling places, LORD of the Heavenly Armies.
My soul longs, yes, even faints For the courts of the LORD; My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.2I desire and long for the Temple courts of the LORD. My heart and body sing for joy to the living God.
Even the sparrow has found a home, And the swallow a nest for herself, Where she may lay her young— Even Your altars, O LORD of hosts, My King and my God.3Even the sparrow found a house for herself and the swallow a nest to lay her young at your altar, LORD of the Heavenly Armies, my king and God.
Blessed are those who dwell in Your house; They will still be praising You. Selah4How happy are those who live in your Temple, for they can praise you continuously. Interlude
Blessed is the man whose strength is in You, Whose heart is set on pilgrimage.5How happy are those whose strength is in you, whose heart is on your path.
As they pass through the Valley of Baca, They make it a spring; The rain also covers it with pools.6They will pass through the Baca Valley where he will prepare a spring for them; even the early rain will cover it with blessings.
They go from strength to strength; Each one appears before God in Zion.7They will walk from strength to strength; each will appear before God in Zion.
O LORD God of hosts, hear my prayer; Give ear, O God of Jacob! Selah8LORD God of the Heavenly Armies, hear my prayer! Listen, God of Jacob! Interlude
O God, behold our shield, And look upon the face of Your anointed.9God, look at our shield, and show favor to your anointed,
For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God Than dwell in the tents of wickedness.10for a day in your Temple courts is better than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather stand at the entrance of God's house than live in the tent of wickedness.
For the LORD God is a sun and shield; The LORD will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold From those who walk uprightly.11For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD grants grace and favor; the LORD will not withhold any good thing from those who walk blamelessly.
O LORD of hosts, Blessed is the man who trusts in You!12LORD of Heavenly Armies, how happy are those who trust in you.
