New King James VersionNET Bible
Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.1If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but I do not have love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.2And if I have prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith so that I can remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.
And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.3If I give away everything I own, and if I give over my body in order to boast, but do not have love, I receive no benefit.
Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up;4Love is patient, love is kind, it is not envious. Love does not brag, it is not puffed up.
does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil;5It is not rude, it is not self-serving, it is not easily angered or resentful.
does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;6It is not glad about injustice, but rejoices in the truth.
bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.7It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away.8Love never ends. But if there are prophecies, they will be set aside; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be set aside.
For we know in part and we prophesy in part.9For we know in part, and we prophesy in part,
But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away.10but when what is perfect comes, the partial will be set aside.
When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things.11When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. But when I became an adult, I set aside childish ways.
For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.12For now we see in a mirror indirectly, but then we will see face to face. Now I know in part, but then I will know fully, just as I have been fully known.
And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.13And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.
