NKJV Parallel NET [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New King James VersionNET Bible
To the Chief Musician. With stringed instruments. A Psalm of David. Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness! You have relieved me in my distress; Have mercy on me, and hear my prayer.1For the music director, to be accompanied by stringed instruments; a psalm of David. When I call out, answer me, O God who vindicates me! Though I am hemmed in, you will lead me into a wide, open place. Have mercy on me and respond to my prayer!
How long, O you sons of men, Will you turn my glory to shame? How long will you love worthlessness And seek falsehood? Selah2You men, how long will you try to turn my honor into shame? How long will you love what is worthless and search for what is deceptive? (Selah)
But know that the LORD has set apart for Himself him who is godly; The LORD will hear when I call to Him.3Realize that the LORD shows the godly special favor; the LORD responds when I cry out to him.
Be angry, and do not sin. Meditate within your heart on your bed, and be still. Selah4Tremble with fear and do not sin! Meditate as you lie in bed, and repent of your ways! (Selah)
Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, And put your trust in the LORD.5Offer the prescribed sacrifices and trust in the LORD!
There are many who say, “Who will show us any good?” LORD, lift up the light of Your countenance upon us.6Many say, "Who can show us anything good?" Smile upon us, LORD!
You have put gladness in my heart, More than in the season that their grain and wine increased.7You make me happier than those who have abundant grain and wine.
I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; For You alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety.8I will lie down and sleep peacefully, for you, LORD, make me safe and secure.
