New King James VersionNew Living Translation
To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. To bring to remembrance. Make haste, O God, to deliver me! Make haste to help me, O LORD!1Please, God, rescue me! Come quickly, LORD, and help me.
Let them be ashamed and confounded Who seek my life; Let them be turned back and confused Who desire my hurt.2May those who try to kill me be humiliated and put to shame. May those who take delight in my trouble be turned back in disgrace.
Let them be turned back because of their shame, Who say, “Aha, aha!”3Let them be horrified by their shame, for they said, “Aha! We’ve got him now!”
Let all those who seek You rejoice and be glad in You; And let those who love Your salvation say continually, “Let God be magnified!”4But may all who search for you be filled with joy and gladness in you. May those who love your salvation repeatedly shout, “God is great!”
But I am poor and needy; Make haste to me, O God! You are my help and my deliverer; O LORD, do not delay.5But as for me, I am poor and needy; please hurry to my aid, O God. You are my helper and my savior; O LORD, do not delay.
