Psalm 36
NLT Parallel BSB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New Living TranslationBerean Study Bible
Sin whispers to the wicked, deep within their hearts. They have no fear of God at all.1For the choirmaster. A Psalm of David, the servant of the LORD. An oracle is in my heart regarding the transgression of the wicked man: There is no fear of God before his eyes.
In their blind conceit, they cannot see how wicked they really are.2For his eyes are too full of conceit to detect or hate his own sin.
Everything they say is crooked and deceitful. They refuse to act wisely or do good.3The words of his mouth are wicked and deceitful; he has ceased to be wise and well-doing.
They lie awake at night, hatching sinful plots. Their actions are never good. They make no attempt to turn from evil.4Even on his bed he plots wickedness; he sets himself on a path that is not good; he fails to reject evil.
Your unfailing love, O LORD, is as vast as the heavens; your faithfulness reaches beyond the clouds.5Your loving devotion, O LORD, reaches to the heavens, Your faithfulness to the clouds.
Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains, your justice like the ocean depths. You care for people and animals alike, O LORD.6Your righteousness is like the highest mountains; Your judgments are like the deepest sea. O LORD, You preserve man and beast.
How precious is your unfailing love, O God! All humanity finds shelter in the shadow of your wings.7How precious is Your loving devotion, O God, that the children of men take refuge in the shadow of Your wings!
You feed them from the abundance of your own house, letting them drink from your river of delights.8They feast on the abundance of Your house, and You give them drink from Your river of delights.
For you are the fountain of life, the light by which we see.9For with You is the fountain of life; in Your light we see light.
Pour out your unfailing love on those who love you; give justice to those with honest hearts.10Extend Your loving devotion to those who know You, and Your righteousness to the upright in heart.
Don’t let the proud trample me or the wicked push me around.11Let not the foot of the proud come against me, nor the hand of the wicked drive me away.
Look! Those who do evil have fallen! They are thrown down, never to rise again.12There the evildoers lie fallen, thrown down and unable to rise.
