Psalm 36
NLT Parallel NET [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New Living TranslationNET Bible
Sin whispers to the wicked, deep within their hearts. They have no fear of God at all.1For the music director; written by the LORD's servant, David; an oracle. An evil man is rebellious to the core. He does not fear God,
In their blind conceit, they cannot see how wicked they really are.2for he is too proud to recognize and give up his sin.
Everything they say is crooked and deceitful. They refuse to act wisely or do good.3The words he speaks are sinful and deceitful; he does not care about doing what is wise and right.
They lie awake at night, hatching sinful plots. Their actions are never good. They make no attempt to turn from evil.4He plans ways to sin while he lies in bed; he is committed to a sinful lifestyle; he does not reject what is evil.
Your unfailing love, O LORD, is as vast as the heavens; your faithfulness reaches beyond the clouds.5O LORD, your loyal love reaches to the sky; your faithfulness to the clouds.
Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains, your justice like the ocean depths. You care for people and animals alike, O LORD.6Your justice is like the highest mountains, your fairness like the deepest sea; you preserve mankind and the animal kingdom.
How precious is your unfailing love, O God! All humanity finds shelter in the shadow of your wings.7How precious is your loyal love, O God! The human race finds shelter under your wings.
You feed them from the abundance of your own house, letting them drink from your river of delights.8They are filled with food from your house, and you allow them to drink from the river of your delicacies.
For you are the fountain of life, the light by which we see.9For you are the one who gives and sustains life.
Pour out your unfailing love on those who love you; give justice to those with honest hearts.10Extend your loyal love to your faithful followers, and vindicate the morally upright!
Don’t let the proud trample me or the wicked push me around.11Do not let arrogant men overtake me, or let evil men make me homeless!
Look! Those who do evil have fallen! They are thrown down, never to rise again.12I can see the evildoers! They have fallen! They have been knocked down and are unable to get up!
