Psalm 95
NLT Parallel ESV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New Living TranslationEnglish Standard Version
1Come, let us sing to the LORD! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation.1Oh come, let us sing to the LORD; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation!
2Let us come to him with thanksgiving. Let us sing psalms of praise to him.2Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise!
3For the LORD is a great God, a great King above all gods.3For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods.
4He holds in his hands the depths of the earth and the mightiest mountains.4In his hand are the depths of the earth; the heights of the mountains are his also.
5The sea belongs to him, for he made it. His hands formed the dry land, too.5The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land.
6Come, let us worship and bow down. Let us kneel before the LORD our maker,6Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the LORD, our Maker!
7for he is our God. We are the people he watches over, the flock under his care. If only you would listen to his voice today!7For he is our God, and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. Today, if you hear his voice,
8The LORD says, “Don’t harden your hearts as Israel did at Meribah, as they did at Massah in the wilderness.8do not harden your hearts, as at Meribah, as on the day at Massah in the wilderness,
9For there your ancestors tested and tried my patience, even though they saw everything I did.9when your fathers put me to the test and put me to the proof, though they had seen my work.
10For forty years I was angry with them, and I said, ‘They are a people whose hearts turn away from me. They refuse to do what I tell them.’10For forty years I loathed that generation and said, “They are a people who go astray in their heart, and they have not known my ways.”
11So in my anger I took an oath: ‘They will never enter my place of rest.’”11Therefore I swore in my wrath, “They shall not enter my rest.”
