Psalm 125
NLT Parallel NASB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New Living TranslationNew American Standard Bible 1995
1Those who trust in the LORD are as secure as Mount Zion; they will not be defeated but will endure forever.1A Song of Ascents. Those who trust in the LORD Are as Mount Zion, which cannot be moved but abides forever.
2Just as the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds his people, both now and forever.2As the mountains surround Jerusalem, So the LORD surrounds His people From this time forth and forever.
3The wicked will not rule the land of the godly, for then the godly might be tempted to do wrong.3For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest upon the land of the righteous, So that the righteous will not put forth their hands to do wrong.
4O LORD, do good to those who are good, whose hearts are in tune with you.4Do good, O LORD, to those who are good And to those who are upright in their hearts.
5But banish those who turn to crooked ways, O LORD. Take them away with those who do evil. May Israel have peace!5But as for those who turn aside to their crooked ways, The LORD will lead them away with the doers of iniquity. Peace be upon Israel.
