Psalm 126
NLT Parallel NASB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New Living TranslationNew American Standard Bible 1995
1When the LORD brought back his exiles to Jerusalem, it was like a dream!1A Song of Ascents. When the LORD brought back the captive ones of Zion, We were like those who dream.
2We were filled with laughter, and we sang for joy. And the other nations said, “What amazing things the LORD has done for them.”2Then our mouth was filled with laughter And our tongue with joyful shouting; Then they said among the nations, "The LORD has done great things for them."
3Yes, the LORD has done amazing things for us! What joy!3The LORD has done great things for us; We are glad.
4Restore our fortunes, LORD, as streams renew the desert.4Restore our captivity, O LORD, As the streams in the South.
5Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy.5Those who sow in tears shall reap with joyful shouting.
6They weep as they go to plant their seed, but they sing as they return with the harvest.6He who goes to and fro weeping, carrying his bag of seed, Shall indeed come again with a shout of joy, bringing his sheaves with him.
