1Come, everyone! Clap your hands! Shout to God with joyful praise!1For the choir director. A Psalm of the sons of Korah. O clap your hands, all peoples; Shout to God with the voice of joy.
2For the LORD Most High is awesome. He is the great King of all the earth.2For the LORD Most High is to be feared, A great King over all the earth.
3He subdues the nations before us, putting our enemies beneath our feet.3He subdues peoples under us And nations under our feet.
4He chose the Promised Land as our inheritance, the proud possession of Jacob’s descendants, whom he loves. Interlude4He chooses our inheritance for us, The glory of Jacob whom He loves. Selah.
5God has ascended with a mighty shout. The LORD has ascended with trumpets blaring.5God has ascended with a shout, The LORD, with the sound of a trumpet.
6Sing praises to God, sing praises; sing praises to our King, sing praises!6Sing praises to God, sing praises; Sing praises to our King, sing praises.
7For God is the King over all the earth. Praise him with a psalm.7For God is the King of all the earth; Sing praises with a skillful psalm.
8God reigns above the nations, sitting on his holy throne.8God reigns over the nations, God sits on His holy throne.
9The rulers of the world have gathered together with the people of the God of Abraham. For all the kings of the earth belong to God. He is highly honored everywhere.9The princes of the people have assembled themselves as the people of the God of Abraham, For the shields of the earth belong to God; He is highly exalted.
