1 A Psalm of David. The LORD said to my Lord: “Sit at My right hand until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet.” The LORD says to my Lord: “Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool.” A Psalm of David. The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool. A Psalm of David. 2 The LORD extends Your mighty scepter from Zion: “Rule in the midst of Your enemies.” The LORD sends forth from Zion your mighty scepter. Rule in the midst of your enemies! The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies. The LORD will stretch out Your strong scepter from Zion, <i>saying,</i> “Rule in the midst of Your enemies.” The LORD will extend your mighty scepter from Zion, saying, “Rule in the midst of your enemies!”
3 Your people shall be willing on Your day of battle. Arrayed in holy splendor, from the womb of the dawn, to You belongs the dew of Your youth. Your people will offer themselves freely on the day of your power, in holy garments; from the womb of the morning, the dew of your youth will be yours. Thy people <i>shall be</i> willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth. Your people will volunteer freely on the day of Your power; In holy splendor, from the womb of the dawn, Your youth are to You <i>as</i> the dew. Your troops will be willing on your day of battle. Arrayed in holy splendor, your young men will come to you like dew from the morning’s womb.
4 The LORD has sworn and will not change His mind: “You are a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek.” The LORD has sworn and will not change his mind, “You are a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.” The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou <i>art</i> a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek. The LORD has sworn and will not change His mind, “You are a priest forever According to the order of Melchizedek.” The LORD has sworn and will not change his mind: “You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.”
5 The Lord is at Your right hand; He will crush kings in the day of His wrath. The Lord is at your right hand; he will shatter kings on the day of his wrath. The Lord at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath. The Lord is at Your right hand; He will shatter kings in the day of His wrath. The Lord is at your right hand; he will crush kings on the day of his wrath.
6 He will judge the nations, heaping up the dead; He will crush the leaders far and wide. He will execute judgment among the nations, filling them with corpses; he will shatter chiefs over the wide earth. He shall judge among the heathen, he shall fill <i>the places</i> with the dead bodies; he shall wound the heads over many countries. He will judge among the nations, He will fill <i>them</i> with corpses, He will shatter the chief men over a broad country. He will judge the nations, heaping up the dead and crushing the rulers of the whole earth.
7 He will drink from the brook by the road; therefore He will lift up His head. He will drink from the brook by the way; therefore he will lift up his head. He shall drink of the brook in the way: therefore shall he lift up the head. He will drink from the brook by the wayside; Therefore He will lift up <i>His</i> head. He will drink from a brook along the way, and so he will lift his head high.
