1 And on the third day a wedding came to pass in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there, 2 and Jesus also was invited, and His disciples, to the wedding. 3 And the wine having fallen short, the mother of Jesus says to Him, “They have no wine.” 4 And Jesus says to her, “What is it to Me and to you, woman? My hour is not yet come.” 5 His mother says to the servants, “Whatever He may say to you?, do it.” 6 Now there were six stone water jars lying there, according to the purification of the Jews, having space for two or three metretae. 7 Jesus says to them, “Fill the water jars with water.” And they filled them up to the top. 8 And He says to them, “Draw some out now and carry it to the master of the feast.” And they carried it.
