1 Three days after, there was a wedding at Cana in Galilee; where the mother of Jesus was present. 2 as likewise Jesus and his disciples, who were all invited to the feast. 3 now when the wine was out, the mother of Jesus said to him, they have no wine. 4 Jesus answer'd her, woman, leave that affair to me, is not that my concern? 5 upon which his mother bid the servants do whatever he should order. 6 now there were six cisterns of stone plac'd there for the use of the Jews in their purifications, containing two or three firkins a-piece. 7 these Jesus order'd the waiters to fill with water, so they filled them up to the brim. 8 now fill out, said he, and carry it to the steward of the feast, which accordingly they did.
