Let the Earth Rejoice

יְהוָ֣ה (YHWH) מָ֭לָךְ (reigns); תָּגֵ֣ל (let rejoice) הָאָ֑רֶץ (the earth).

יִ֝שְׂמְח֗וּ (Let be glad) אִיִּ֥ים (the shores) רַבִּֽים׃ (many).

2 עָנָ֣ן (Cloud) וַעֲרָפֶ֣ל (and darkness) סְבִיבָ֑יו (surround Him);

צֶ֥דֶק (righteousness) וּ֝מִשְׁפָּ֗ט (and justice are) מְכ֣וֹן (the foundation) כִּסְאֽוֹ׃ (of His throne).

3 אֵ֭שׁ (A fire) לְפָנָ֣יו (before His face) תֵּלֵ֑ךְ (goes out)

וּתְלַהֵ֖ט (and burns up) סָבִ֣יב (round about) צָרָֽיו׃ (His adversaries).

4 הֵאִ֣ירוּ (Give light) בְרָקָ֣יו (His lightnings) תֵּבֵ֑ל (to the world);

רָאֲתָ֖ה (sees) וַתָּחֵ֣ל (and trembles) הָאָֽרֶץ׃ (the earth).

5 הָרִ֗ים (The mountains) כַּדּוֹנַ֗ג (like wax) נָ֭מַסּוּ (are melted)

מִלִּפְנֵ֣י (from before the face) יְהוָ֑ה (of YHWH),

מִ֝לִּפְנֵ֗י (from before the face) אֲד֣וֹן (of the Lord) כָּל־ (of all) הָאָֽרֶץ׃ (the earth).

6 הִגִּ֣ידוּ (Declare) הַשָּׁמַ֣יִם (the heavens) צִדְק֑וֹ (His righteousness),

וְרָא֖וּ (and see) כָל־ (all) הָעַמִּ֣ים (the peoples) כְּבוֹדֽוֹ׃ (His glory).

7 יֵבֹ֤שׁוּ׀ (Let be put to shame) כָּל־ (all) עֹ֬בְדֵי (those serving) פֶ֗סֶל (a carved image),

הַמִּֽתְהַלְלִ֥ים (those boasting) בָּאֱלִילִ֑ים (in idols);

הִשְׁתַּחֲווּ־ (bow down) ל֝וֹ (to Him) כָּל־ (all) אֱלֹהִֽים׃ (gods).

8 שָׁמְעָ֬ה (Hears) וַתִּשְׂמַ֨ח׀ (and is glad) צִיּ֗וֹן (Zion)

וַ֭תָּגֵלְנָה (and rejoice) בְּנ֣וֹת (the daughters) יְהוּדָ֑ה (of Judah),

לְמַ֖עַן (because of) מִשְׁפָּטֶ֣יךָ (of Your judgments), יְהוָֽה׃ (O YHWH).

9 כִּֽי־ (For) אַתָּ֤ה (You), יְהוָ֗ה (O YHWH-), עֶלְי֥וֹן (Elyon) עַל־ (are over) כָּל־ (all) הָאָ֑רֶץ (the earth);

מְאֹ֥ד (greatly) נַ֝עֲלֵ֗יתָ (are You exalted) עַל־ (over) כָּל־ (all) אֱלֹהִֽים׃ (gods).

10 אֹהֲבֵ֥י (O lovers) יְהוָ֗ה (of YHWH) שִׂנְא֫וּ (hate) רָ֥ע (evil);

שֹׁ֭מֵר (He preserves) נַפְשׁ֣וֹת (the souls) חֲסִידָ֑יו (of His holy ones);

מִיַּ֥ד (from the hand) רְ֝שָׁעִ֗ים (of the wicked) יַצִּילֵֽם׃ (He delivers them).

11 א֭וֹר (Light) זָרֻ֣עַ (is sown) לַצַּדִּ֑יק (for the righteous),

וּֽלְיִשְׁרֵי־ (and for the upright) לֵ֥ב (of heart) שִׂמְחָֽה׃ (gladness).

12 שִׂמְח֣וּ (Be glad) צַ֭דִּיקִים (O righteous ones) בַּֽיהוָ֑ה (in YHWH),

וְ֝הוֹד֗וּ (and give thanks) לְזֵ֣כֶר (at the remembrance) קָדְשֽׁוֹ׃ (of His holiness).
