Taste and See That Yahweh Is Good 1Of David, in his changing his behavior before Abimelech,† and he drove him off, and he went.† 1 I will bless YHWH at every time; His praise is continually in my mouth. 2In YHWH my soul boasts; let the humble hear and be glad. 3Magnify YHWH with me, and let us exalt His name together. 4I sought YHWH, and He answered me, and He snatched me up from all my fears. 5They looked toward Him, and they shone, and their faces were not ashamed. 6This poor one called out, and YHWH heard, and from all his troubles He saved him. 7The angel of YHWH encamps all around those who fear Him, 8Taste and see that YHWH is good; blessed is the man who seeks refuge in Him. 9Fear YHWH, His holy ones, for There is no lack for those fearing Him. 10The young lions are in want and are hungry, and those seeking YHWH shall not lack any good thing. 11Come, my sons, listen to me; the fear of YHWH I will teach you⁺. 12Who is the man desiring life, loving days, that he may see good? 13Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking deceit. 14Turn away from evil and do good; 15The eyes of YHWH are toward the righteous, and His ears are inclined to their cry.† 16The face of YHWH is against those doing evil,† to cut off from the earth their memory. 17They cry out, and YHWH hears, and He delivers them from all their troubles. 18Near is YHWH to the broken of heart, and He saves those crushed in spirit. 19Many are are the afflictions of a righteous one, but from them all YHWH delivers him. 20He guards all his bones; not one of them is broken.† 21Evil will kill the wicked, and those hating a righteous one will be held guilty. 22YHWH redeems the soul of His servants, and none of those trusting in Him will be held guilty.
