Psalm 92

How Great Are Your Works!

1A Psalm. A Song for the Sabbath day.

1 It is good to give thanks to YHWH,

and to sing praise to Your name, O Most High,

2to declare in the morning Your loving devotion,

and Your faithfulness in the nights,

3on ten strings and on the harp,

with a melody of the lyre.

4For You have made me glad, O YHWH, by Your work;

at the works of Your hands I shout for joy.

5How great are Your works, O YHWH,

how very deep Your thoughts!

6A stupid man does not know,

and a fool cannot understand this:

7The wicked sprout like grass,

and all the workers of iniquity blossom,

to be destroyed forever and ever!

8And You are on high forever, O YHWH!

9For behold, Your enemies, O YHWH—

for behold, Your enemies will perish;

all the workers of iniquity will be scattered!

10But You have lifted high my horn like that of a wild ox;

I have been anointed with fresh oil.

11And my eye has looked on my enemies;

of those rising up against me, those doing evil, my ears hear.

12The righteous one will sprout like a palm tree;

like a cedar in Lebanon he will grow.

13Those planted in the house of YHWH,

in the courts of our God, they will sprout.

14Still bearing fruit in old age,

they will remain fat and flourishing—

15to declare that YHWH my Rock is upright,

and there is no injustice in Him.
