Exodus 17:11
Good News Translation
As long as Moses held up his arms, the Israelites won, but when he put his arms down, the Amalekites started winning.

Whenever Moses held up his hand, Israel prevailed; and whenever he lowered his hand, Amalek prevailed.

The Israelites out-fought the Amalekites as long as Moses held up his arms, but they started losing whenever he lowered them.

As long as Moses kept his hands raised up, Israel had the better of the fight, but when he let his hands rest, Amalek had the better of the fight.
