Wherefore now we call the proud people happy, for they that work wickedness are built up, and they have tempted God and are preserved.

For in your heart you work iniquity: your hands forge injustice in the earth.
Incline not my heart to evil words; to make excuses in sins. With men that work iniquity: and I will not communicate with the choicest of them.
There is also another vanity, which is done upon the earth. There are just men to whom evils happen, as though they had done the works of the wicked: and there are wicked men, who are as secure as though they had the deeds of the just: but this also I judge most vain.
Cease ye therefore from the man, whose breath is in his nostrils, for he is reputed high.
And you have come, and stood before me in this house, in which my name is called upon, and have said: We are delivered, because we have done all these abominations.
