1For they shall add to thee length of days, and years of life, and peace.2Let not mercy aud truth leave thee, put them about thy neck, and write them in the tables of thy heart.…
And shewing mercy unto thousands to them that love me, and keep my commandments.
That thou mayst love the Lord thy God, and walk in his ways, and keep his commandments and ceremonies and judgments, and bless thee in the land, which thou shalt go in to possess.
I will fill him with length of days; and I will shew him my salvation.
The cords of the wicked have encompassed me: but I have not forgotten thy law.
See my humiliation and deliver me for I have not forgotten thy law.
That thy ear may hearken to wisdom: incline thy heart to know prudence.
For I also was my father's son, tender, and as an only son in the sight of my mother:
Forsake her not, and she shall keep thee: love her, and she shall preserve thee.
Old age is a crown of dignity, when it is found in the ways of justice.
My son, give me thy heart: and let thy eyes keep my ways.
