Job 23
Peshitta Holy Bible Translated Par ▾
And Job answered and said:

“Also today my tale is bitter and his hand has been heavy on my groaning

But who makes it possible for me to arrive unto his seat?

And I shall set judgment in order before him and I shall fill my mouth with rebuke

And I had known what he answered me and I had understood what he said to me

In the abundance of power he judged with me, and otherwise there was awe laid upon me

There I would have judged justly with him, and I would have been justified, for I would have been allowed to escape in judgment

If he goes before me I do not know, or from behind him I do not perceive him

I looked at my left and he did not appear to me, and I turned to my right and I did not see him

He has known my way and my existence and he has tested me as gold, and I came forth

And my feet were established in his steps; his ways I have kept

And I have not despised the commands of his lips, and I have not departed from his pleasure. I have kept the words of his mouth

And in what one of these will he return to me, for his soul delights and he does it?

However, he completed his covenant, and there are many things like these with him

Because of this, I am afraid before him, I consider and I am shaken by him

Because God has shaken my heart and my head is shaken

Because I was not silenced by the presence of the darkness and by the presence of the veil of gloom
