New International Version
For the sake of your name do not despise us; do not dishonor your glorious throne. Remember your covenant with us and do not break it.
King James Bible
Do not abhor us, for thy name's sake, do not disgrace the throne of thy glory: remember, break not thy covenant with us.
Darby Bible Translation
For thy name's sake, do not spurn [us], do not disgrace the throne of thy glory: remember, break not thy covenant with us.
World English Bible
Do not abhor [us], for your name's sake; do not disgrace the throne of your glory: remember, don't break your covenant with us.
Young's Literal Translation
Do not despise, for Thy name's sake, Dishonour not the throne of Thine honour, Remember, break not Thy covenant with us.
Jeremiah 14:21 Parallel
CommentaryClarke's Commentary on the Bible
Do not disgrace the throne of thy glory - The temple. Let not this sacred place be profaned by impious and sacrilegious hands.
Break not thy covenant - See Exodus 24:7, Exodus 24:8; Exodus 19:5. They had already broken the covenant, and they wish God to fulfill his part. They ceased to be his people, for they abandoned themselves to idolatry; and yet they wished Jehovah to be their Lord; to defend, support, and fill them with all good things! But when the conditions of a covenant are broken by one of the contracting parties, the other party is not bound; and the covenant is necessarily annulled.
Treasury of Scripture Knowledge
'O Lord, though our iniquities testify against us, do Thou it for Thy name's sake: for our backslidings are many; we have sinned against Thee. 8. O the hope of Israel, the saviour thereof in time of trouble, why shouldest Thou be as a stranger in the land, and as a wayfaring man that turneth aside to tarry for a night? 9. Why shouldest Thou be as a man astonied, as a mighty man that cannot save? yet Thou, O Lord, art in the midst of us, and we are called by Thy name; leave us not.'--JER. xiv. 7-9. …

Question of the Contemplative Life
1 Samuel 12:22
For the sake of his great name the LORD will not reject his people, because the LORD was pleased to make you his own.
For the sake of your name, LORD, forgive my iniquity, though it is great.
They tell of the glory of your kingdom and speak of your might,
I have posted watchmen on your walls, Jerusalem; they will never be silent day or night. You who call on the LORD, give yourselves no rest,
At that time they will call Jerusalem The Throne of the LORD, and all nations will gather in Jerusalem to honor the name of the LORD. No longer will they follow the stubbornness of their evil hearts.
Although our sins testify against us, do something, LORD, for the sake of your name. For we have often rebelled; we have sinned against you.
A glorious throne, exalted from the beginning, is the place of our sanctuary.
