1:12 Happy is the man that endureth temptation - Trials of various kinds. He shall receive the crown - That fadeth not away. Which the Lord hath promised to them that love him - And his enduring proves his love. For it is love only that endureth all things.

Some time later, God tested Abraham's faith. "Abraham!" God called. "Yes," he replied. "Here I am."
But I lavish unfailing love for a thousand generations on those who love me and obey my commands.
But Job replied, "You talk like a foolish woman. Should we accept only good things from the hand of God and never anything bad?" So in all this, Job said nothing wrong.
"But consider the joy of those corrected by God! Do not despise the discipline of the Almighty when you sin.
The LORD examines both the righteous and the wicked. He hates those who love violence.
What blessings await you when people hate you and exclude you and mock you and curse you as evil because you follow the Son of Man.
And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation.
