then kings and their officials will go in and out of these gates forever. There will always be a descendant of David sitting on the throne here in Jerusalem. Kings and their officials will always ride in and out among the people of Judah in chariots and on horses, and this city will remain forever.

Your house and your kingdom will continue before me for all time, and your throne will be secure forever.'"
For the LORD has chosen Jerusalem; he has desired it for his home.
"This is my resting place forever," he said. "I will live here, for this is the home I desired.
His government and its peace will never end. He will rule with fairness and justice from the throne of his ancestor David for all eternity. The passionate commitment of the LORD of Heaven's Armies will make this happen!
Listen to this message from the LORD, you king of Judah, sitting on David's throne. Let your attendants and your people listen, too.
