BSB Parallel ISV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
Berean Study BibleInternational Standard Version
Of David. A Maskil. Blessed is he whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.1How blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.
Blessed is the man whose iniquity the LORD does not count against him, in whose spirit there is no deceit.2How blessed is the person against whom the LORD does not charge iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit.
When I kept silent, my bones became brittle from my groaning all day long.3When I kept silent about my sin, my body wasted away by my groaning all day long.
For day and night Your hand was heavy upon me; my strength was drained as in the summer heat. Selah4For your hand was heavy upon me day and night; my strength was exhausted as in a summer drought. Interlude
Then I acknowledged my sin to You and did not hide my iniquity. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the LORD,” and You forgave the guilt of my sin. Selah5My sin I acknowledged to you; my iniquity I did not hide. I said, "I will confess my transgressions to the LORD." And you forgave the guilt of my sin! Interlude
Therefore let all the godly pray to You while You may be found. Surely when great waters rise, they will not come near.6Therefore every godly person should pray to you at such a time. Surely a flood of great waters will not reach him.
You are my hiding place. You protect me from trouble; You surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah7You are my hiding place; you will deliver me from trouble and surround me with shouts of deliverance. Interlude
I will instruct you and teach you the way you should go; I will give you counsel and watch over you.8I will instruct you and teach you concerning the path you should walk; I will direct you with my eye.
Do not be like the horse or mule, which have no understanding; they must be controlled with bit and bridle to make them come to you.9Don't be like a horse or mule, without understanding. They are held in check by a bit and bridle in their mouths; otherwise they will not remain near you.
Many are the sorrows of the wicked, but loving devotion surrounds him who trusts in the LORD.10The wicked have many sorrows, but gracious love surrounds those who trust in the LORD.
Be glad in the LORD and rejoice, O righteous ones; shout for joy, all you upright in heart.11Righteous ones, be glad in the LORD and rejoice! Shout for joy, all of you who are upright in heart!
