Then the LORD said to Noah, “Go into the ark, you and all your family, because I have found you righteous in this generation.1Then the LORD said to Noah, "Enter the ark, you and all your household, for you alone I have seen to be righteous before Me in this time.
You are to take with you seven pairs of every kind of clean animal, a male and its mate; a pair of every kind of unclean animal, a male and its mate;2"You shall take with you of every clean animal by sevens, a male and his female; and of the animals that are not clean two, a male and his female;
and seven pairs of every kind of bird of the air, male and female, to preserve their offspring on the face of all the earth.3also of the birds of the sky, by sevens, male and female, to keep offspring alive on the face of all the earth.
For seven days from now I will send rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights, and I will wipe from the face of the earth every living thing I have made.”4"For after seven more days, I will send rain on the earth forty days and forty nights; and I will blot out from the face of the land every living thing that I have made."
And Noah did all that the LORD had commanded him.5Noah did according to all that the LORD had commanded him.
Now Noah was 600 years old when the floodwaters came upon the earth.6Now Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of water came upon the earth.
And Noah and his wife, with his sons and their wives, entered the ark to escape the waters of the flood.7Then Noah and his sons and his wife and his sons' wives with him entered the ark because of the water of the flood.
The clean and unclean animals, the birds, and everything that crawls along the ground8Of clean animals and animals that are not clean and birds and everything that creeps on the ground,
came to Noah to enter the ark, two by two, male and female, as God had commanded Noah.9there went into the ark to Noah by twos, male and female, as God had commanded Noah.
And after seven days the floodwaters came upon the earth.10It came about after the seven days, that the water of the flood came upon the earth.
In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, on the seventeenth day of the second month, all the fountains of the great deep burst forth, and the floodgates of the heavens were opened.11In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on the same day all the fountains of the great deep burst open, and the floodgates of the sky were opened.
And the rain fell upon the earth for forty days and forty nights.12The rain fell upon the earth for forty days and forty nights.
On that very day Noah entered the ark, along with his sons Shem, Ham, and Japheth, and his wife, and the three wives of his sons—13On the very same day Noah and Shem and Ham and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife and the three wives of his sons with them, entered the ark,
they and every kind of wild animal, livestock, crawling creature, bird, and winged creature.14they and every beast after its kind, and all the cattle after their kind, and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth after its kind, and every bird after its kind, all sorts of birds.
They came to Noah to enter the ark, two by two of every creature with the breath of life.15So they went into the ark to Noah, by twos of all flesh in which was the breath of life.
And they entered, the male and female of every living thing, as God had commanded Noah. Then the LORD shut him in.16Those that entered, male and female of all flesh, entered as God had commanded him; and the LORD closed it behind him.
For forty days the flood kept coming on the earth, and the waters rose and lifted the ark high above the earth.17Then the flood came upon the earth for forty days, and the water increased and lifted up the ark, so that it rose above the earth.
So the waters continued to surge and rise greatly on the earth, and the ark floated on the surface of the waters.18The water prevailed and increased greatly upon the earth, and the ark floated on the surface of the water.
Finally, the waters completely inundated the earth, so that all the high mountains under all the heavens were covered.19The water prevailed more and more upon the earth, so that all the high mountains everywhere under the heavens were covered.
The waters rose and covered the mountaintops to a depth of fifteen cubits.20The water prevailed fifteen cubits higher, and the mountains were covered.
And every living thing that moved upon the earth perished—birds, livestock, animals, every creature that swarms upon the earth, and all mankind.21All flesh that moved on the earth perished, birds and cattle and beasts and every swarming thing that swarms upon the earth, and all mankind;
Of all that was on dry land, everything that had the breath of life in its nostrils died.22of all that was on the dry land, all in whose nostrils was the breath of the spirit of life, died.
And every living thing on the face of the earth was destroyed—man and livestock, crawling creatures and birds of the air; they were blotted out from the earth, and only Noah and those with him in the ark remained.23Thus He blotted out every living thing that was upon the face of the land, from man to animals to creeping things and to birds of the sky, and they were blotted out from the earth; and only Noah was left, together with those that were with him in the ark.
And the waters prevailed upon the earth for 150 days.24The water prevailed upon the earth one hundred and fifty days.
