Song of Solomon 7
English Standard VersionChristian Standard Bible
How beautiful are your feet in sandals, O noble daughter! Your rounded thighs are like jewels, the work of a master hand.1How beautiful are your sandaled feet, princess! The curves of your thighs are like jewelry, the handiwork of a master.
Your navel is a rounded bowl that never lacks mixed wine. Your belly is a heap of wheat, encircled with lilies.2Your navel is a rounded bowl; it never lacks mixed wine. Your belly is a mound of wheat surrounded by lilies.
Your two breasts are like two fawns, twins of a gazelle.3Your breasts are like two fawns, twins of a gazelle.
Your neck is like an ivory tower. Your eyes are pools in Heshbon, by the gate of Bath-rabbim. Your nose is like a tower of Lebanon, which looks toward Damascus.4Your neck is like a tower of ivory, your eyes like pools in Heshbon by Bath-rabbim's gate. Your nose is like the tower of Lebanon looking toward Damascus.
Your head crowns you like Carmel, and your flowing locks are like purple; a king is held captive in the tresses.5Your head crowns you like Mount Carmel, the hair of your head like purple cloth--a king could be held captive in your tresses.
How beautiful and pleasant you are, O loved one, with all your delights!6How beautiful you are and how pleasant, my love, with such delights!
Your stature is like a palm tree, and your breasts are like its clusters.7Your stature is like a palm tree; your breasts are clusters of fruit.
I say I will climb the palm tree and lay hold of its fruit. Oh may your breasts be like clusters of the vine, and the scent of your breath like apples,8I said, "I will climb the palm tree and take hold of its fruit." May your breasts be like clusters of grapes, and the fragrance of your breath like apricots.
and your mouth like the best wine. She It goes down smoothly for my beloved, gliding over lips and teeth.9Your mouth is like fine wine--Woman flowing smoothly for my love, gliding past my lips and teeth!
I am my beloved’s, and his desire is for me.10I am my love's, and his desire is for me.
Come, my beloved, let us go out into the fields and lodge in the villages;11Come, my love, let's go to the field; let's spend the night among the henna blossoms.
let us go out early to the vineyards and see whether the vines have budded, whether the grape blossoms have opened and the pomegranates are in bloom. There I will give you my love.12Let's go early to the vineyards; let's see if the vine has budded, if the blossom has opened, if the pomegranates are in bloom. There I will give you my caresses.
The mandrakes give forth fragrance, and beside our doors are all choice fruits, new as well as old, which I have laid up for you, O my beloved.13The mandrakes give off a fragrance, and at our doors is every delicacy, both new and old. I have treasured them up for you, my love.
