Psalm 131
ESV Parallel HCSB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
English Standard VersionHolman Christian Standard Bible
1O LORD, my heart is not lifted up; my eyes are not raised too high; I do not occupy myself with things too great and too marvelous for me.1A Davidic song of ascents. LORD, my heart is not proud; my eyes are not haughty. I do not get involved with things too great or too difficult for me.
2But I have calmed and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with its mother; like a weaned child is my soul within me.2Instead, I have calmed and quieted myself like a little weaned child with its mother; I am like a little child.
3O Israel, hope in the LORD from this time forth and forevermore.3Israel, put your hope in the LORD, both now and forever.
