Psalm 23
HCSB Parallel ESV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
Holman Christian Standard BibleEnglish Standard Version
1A Davidic psalm. The LORD is my shepherd; there is nothing I lack. 1The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2He lets me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. 2He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters.
3He renews my life; He leads me along the right paths for His name's sake. 3He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
4Even when I go through the darkest valley, I fear no danger, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff--they comfort me. 4Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
5You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. 5You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
6Only goodness and faithful love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD as long as I live. 6Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
