Psalm 23
HCSB Parallel ISV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
Holman Christian Standard BibleInternational Standard Version
1A Davidic psalm. The LORD is my shepherd; there is nothing I lack. 1The LORD is the one who is shepherding me; I lack nothing.
2He lets me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. 2He causes me to lie down in pastures of green grass; he guides me beside quiet waters.
3He renews my life; He leads me along the right paths for His name's sake. 3He revives my life; he leads me in pathways that are righteous for the sake of his name.
4Even when I go through the darkest valley, I fear no danger, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff--they comfort me. 4Even when I walk through a valley of deep darkness, I will not be afraid because you are with me. Your rod and your staff—they comfort me.
5You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. 5You prepare a table before me, even in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
6Only goodness and faithful love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD as long as I live. 6Truly, goodness and gracious love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will remain in the LORD's Temple forever.
