Song of Solomon 7
HCSB Parallel KJV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
Holman Christian Standard BibleKing James Bible
How beautiful are your sandaled feet, princess! The curves of your thighs are like jewelry, the handiwork of a master. 1How beautiful are thy feet with shoes, O prince's daughter! the joints of thy thighs are like jewels, the work of the hands of a cunning workman.
Your navel is a rounded bowl; it never lacks mixed wine. Your waist is a mound of wheat surrounded by lilies. 2Thy navel is like a round goblet, which wanteth not liquor: thy belly is like an heap of wheat set about with lilies.
Your breasts are like two fawns, twins of a gazelle. 3Thy two breasts are like two young roes that are twins.
Your neck is like a tower of ivory, your eyes like pools in Heshbon by the gate of Bath-rabbim. Your nose is like the tower of Lebanon looking toward Damascus. 4Thy neck is as a tower of ivory; thine eyes like the fishpools in Heshbon, by the gate of Bathrabbim: thy nose is as the tower of Lebanon which looketh toward Damascus.
Your head crowns you like Mount Carmel, the hair of your head like purple cloth-- a king could be held captive in your tresses. 5Thine head upon thee is like Carmel, and the hair of thine head like purple; the king is held in the galleries.
How beautiful you are and how pleasant, my love, with such delights! 6How fair and how pleasant art thou, O love, for delights!
Your stature is like a palm tree; your breasts are clusters of fruit. 7This thy stature is like to a palm tree, and thy breasts to clusters of grapes.
I said, "I will climb the palm tree and take hold of its fruit." May your breasts be like clusters of grapes, and the fragrance of your breath like apricots. 8I said, I will go up to the palm tree, I will take hold of the boughs thereof: now also thy breasts shall be as clusters of the vine, and the smell of thy nose like apples;
Your mouth is like fine wine-- W flowing smoothly for my love, gliding past my lips and teeth! 9And the roof of thy mouth like the best wine for my beloved, that goeth down sweetly, causing the lips of those that are asleep to speak.
I belong to my love, and his desire is for me. 10I am my beloved's, and his desire is toward me.
Come, my love, let's go to the field; let's spend the night among the henna blossoms. 11Come, my beloved, let us go forth into the field; let us lodge in the villages.
Let's go early to the vineyards; let's see if the vine has budded, if the blossom has opened, if the pomegranates are in bloom. There I will give you my love. 12Let us get up early to the vineyards; let us see if the vine flourish, whether the tender grape appear, and the pomegranates bud forth: there will I give thee my loves.
The mandrakes give off a fragrance, and at our doors is every delicacy-- new as well as old. I have treasured them up for you, my love. 13The mandrakes give a smell, and at our gates are all manner of pleasant fruits, new and old, which I have laid up for thee, O my beloved.
