HCSB Parallel NASB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
Holman Christian Standard BibleNew American Standard Bible 1995
A psalm of David when he fled from his son Absalom. LORD, how my foes increase! There are many who attack me. 1A Psalm of David, when he fled from Absalom his son. O LORD, how my adversaries have increased! Many are rising up against me.
Many say about me," There is no help for him in God." Selah 2Many are saying of my soul, "There is no deliverance for him in God." Selah.
But You, LORD, are a shield around me, my glory, and the One who lifts up my head. 3But You, O LORD, are a shield about me, My glory, and the One who lifts my head.
I cry aloud to the LORD, and He answers me from His holy mountain. Selah 4I was crying to the LORD with my voice, And He answered me from His holy mountain. Selah.
I lie down and sleep; I wake again because the LORD sustains me. 5I lay down and slept; I awoke, for the LORD sustains me.
I am not afraid of the thousands of people who have taken their stand against me on every side. 6I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people Who have set themselves against me round about.
Rise up, LORD! Save me, my God! You strike all my enemies on the cheek; You break the teeth of the wicked. 7Arise, O LORD; save me, O my God! For You have smitten all my enemies on the cheek; You have shattered the teeth of the wicked.
Salvation belongs to the LORD; may Your blessing be on Your people. Selah 8Salvation belongs to the LORD; Your blessing be upon Your people! Selah.
