Psalm 125
ISV Parallel HCSB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
International Standard VersionHolman Christian Standard Bible
1Those who are trusting in the LORD are like Mount Zion, which cannot be overthrown. They remain forever.1A song of ascents. Those who trust in the LORD are like Mount Zion. It cannot be shaken; it remains forever.
2Just as mountains encircle Jerusalem, so the LORD encircles his people, from now to eternity.2Jerusalem--the mountains surround her. And the LORD surrounds His people, both now and forever.
3For evil's scepter will not rest on the land that has been allotted to the righteous, and so the righteous will not direct themselves to do wrong.3The scepter of the wicked will not remain over the land allotted to the righteous, so that the righteous will not apply their hands to injustice.
4LORD, do good to those who are good, and to those who are upright in heart. 4Do what is good, LORD, to the good, to those whose hearts are upright.
5But for those who choose their own devious paths, the LORD will lead them away, along with those who practice evil. Peace be upon Israel.5But as for those who turn aside to crooked ways, the LORD will banish them with the evildoers. Peace be with Israel.
