Psalm 125
ISV Parallel NET [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
International Standard VersionNET Bible
1Those who are trusting in the LORD are like Mount Zion, which cannot be overthrown. They remain forever.1A song of ascents. Those who trust in the LORD are like Mount Zion; it cannot be upended and will endure forever.
2Just as mountains encircle Jerusalem, so the LORD encircles his people, from now to eternity.2As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds his people, now and forevermore.
3For evil's scepter will not rest on the land that has been allotted to the righteous, and so the righteous will not direct themselves to do wrong.3Indeed, the scepter of a wicked king will not settle upon the allotted land of the godly. Otherwise the godly might do what is wrong.
4LORD, do good to those who are good, and to those who are upright in heart. 4Do good, O LORD, to those who are good, to the morally upright!
5But for those who choose their own devious paths, the LORD will lead them away, along with those who practice evil. Peace be upon Israel.5As for those who are bent on traveling a sinful path, may the LORD remove them, along with those who behave wickedly! May Israel experience peace!
