International Standard VersionKing James Bible
Bildad from Shuah responded and said:1Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,
"Dominion and fear belong to God; who fashions peace in his high heaven.2Dominion and fear are with him, he maketh peace in his high places.
Is there any limit to his armies? On whom does his light not shine? 3Is there any number of his armies? and upon whom doth not his light arise?
How can a human being become right with God? How can a human being be pure?4How then can man be justified with God? or how can he be clean that is born of a woman?
Behold, even the moon isn't bright, and the stars aren't pure in his eyes.5Behold even to the moon, and it shineth not; yea, the stars are not pure in his sight.
How much less is man, who is only a maggot, or a man's children, who are only worms!"6How much less man, that is a worm? and the son of man, which is a worm?
