1Bildad from Shuah responded and said:1וַ֭יַּעַן בִּלְדַּ֥ד הַשֻּׁחִ֗י וַיֹּאמַֽר׃
2"Dominion and fear belong to God; who fashions peace in his high heaven.2הַמְשֵׁ֣ל וָפַ֣חַד עִמּ֑וֹ עֹשֶׂ֥ה שָׁ֝ל֗וֹם בִּמְרוֹמָֽיו׃
3Is there any limit to his armies? On whom does his light not shine? 3הֲיֵ֣שׁ מִ֭סְפָּר לִגְדוּדָ֑יו וְעַל־ מִ֝֗י לֹא־ יָק֥וּם אוֹרֵֽהוּ׃
4How can a human being become right with God? How can a human being be pure?4וּמַה־ יִּצְדַּ֣ק אֱנ֣וֹשׁ עִם־ אֵ֑ל וּמַה־ יִּ֝זְכֶּ֗ה יְל֣וּד אִשָּֽׁה׃
5Behold, even the moon isn't bright, and the stars aren't pure in his eyes.5הֵ֣ן עַד־ יָ֭רֵחַ וְלֹ֣א יַאֲהִ֑יל וְ֝כוֹכָבִ֗ים לֹא־ זַכּ֥וּ בְעֵינָֽיו׃
6How much less is man, who is only a maggot, or a man's children, who are only worms!"6אַ֭ף כִּֽי־ אֱנ֣וֹשׁ רִמָּ֑ה וּבֶן־ אָ֝דָ֗ם תּוֹלֵעָֽה׃ פ
