1In reply, Job responded:1וַיַּ֥עַן אִיּ֗וֹב וַיֹּאמַֽר׃
2"What a help you are to the weak! How powerfully you deliver those without strength!2מֶה־ עָזַ֥רְתָּ לְלֹא־ כֹ֑חַ ה֝וֹשַׁ֗עְתָּ זְר֣וֹעַ לֹא־ עֹֽז׃
3What counsel you provide to the fool! What insight you provide so abundantly!3מַה־ יָּ֭עַצְתָּ לְלֹ֣א חָכְמָ֑ה וְ֝תוּשִׁיָּ֗ה לָרֹ֥ב הוֹדָֽעְתָּ׃
4Who helped you say all of this? Who inspired you?"4אֶת־ מִ֭י הִגַּ֣דְתָּ מִלִּ֑ין וְנִשְׁמַת־ מִ֝י יָצְאָ֥ה מִמֶּֽךָּ׃
5"The ghosts of the dead writhe under the waters along with those who live there with them.5הָרְפָאִ֥ים יְחוֹלָ֑לוּ מִתַּ֥חַת מַ֝֗יִם וְשֹׁכְנֵיהֶֽם׃
6Sheol is naked before God and Abaddon has no clothes.6עָר֣וֹם שְׁא֣וֹל נֶגְדּ֑וֹ וְאֵ֥ין כְּ֝ס֗וּת לָֽאֲבַדּֽוֹן׃
7He spreads out the north over empty space, suspending the earth over nothing.7נֹטֶ֣ה צָפ֣וֹן עַל־ תֹּ֑הוּ תֹּ֥לֶה אֶ֝֗רֶץ עַל־ בְּלִי־ מָֽה׃
8"He restricts the waters within clouds and the clouds don't burst open under them.8צֹרֵֽר־ מַ֥יִם בְּעָבָ֑יו וְלֹא־ נִבְקַ֖ע עָנָ֣ן תַּחְתָּֽם׃
9He has enclosed the face of the full moon and spread his clouds over it.9מְאַחֵ֥ז פְּנֵי־ כִסֵּ֑ה פַּרְשֵׁ֖ז עָלָ֣יו עֲנָנֽוֹ׃
10He has delimited a boundary over the surface of the oceans as a limit between light and darkness.10חֹֽק־ חָ֭ג עַל־ פְּנֵי־ מָ֑יִם עַד־ תַּכְלִ֖ית א֣וֹר עִם־ חֹֽשֶׁךְ׃
11The pillars of the heavens tremble and are astounded at his rebuke.11עַמּוּדֵ֣י שָׁמַ֣יִם יְרוֹפָ֑פוּ וְ֝יִתְמְה֗וּ מִגַּעֲרָתֽוֹ׃
12By his power he disturbs the sea; and with his skill he shatters the sea monster. 12בְּ֭כֹחוֹ רָגַ֣ע הַיָּ֑ם [ובתובנתו] (וּ֝בִתְבוּנָת֗וֹ) מָ֣חַץ רָֽהַב׃
13he clears the skies with his wind; his hands have pierced the fleeing serpent.13בְּ֭רוּחוֹ שָׁמַ֣יִם שִׁפְרָ֑ה חֹֽלֲלָ֥ה יָ֝ד֗וֹ נָחָ֥שׁ בָּרִֽיחַ׃
14Indeed, these are the fringes of his ways, and how faint is the whisper we've heard of it! But who can comprehend the thunder of his might?"14הֶן־ אֵ֤לֶּה ׀ קְצ֬וֹת [דרכו] (דְּרָכָ֗יו) וּמַה־ שֵּׁ֣מֶץ דָּ֭בָר נִשְׁמַע־ בּ֑וֹ וְרַ֥עַם [גבורתו] (גְּ֝בוּרוֹתָ֗יו‪‬) מִ֣י יִתְבּוֹנָֽן׃ ס
