Psalm 120
ISV Parallel KJV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
International Standard VersionKing James Bible
1I cried to the LORD in my distress, and he responded to me.1A Song of degrees. In my distress I cried unto the LORD, and he heard me.
2"LORD, deliver me from lips that lie and tongues that deceive."2Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lying lips, and from a deceitful tongue.
3What will be given to you, and what will be done to you, you treacherous tongue?3What shall be given unto thee? or what shall be done unto thee, thou false tongue?
4Like a sharp arrow from a warrior, along with fiery coals from juniper trees!4Sharp arrows of the mighty, with coals of juniper.
5How terrible for me, that I am an alien in Meshech, that I reside among the tents of Kedar!5Woe is me, that I sojourn in Mesech, that I dwell in the tents of Kedar!
6I have resided too long with those who hate peace.6My soul hath long dwelt with him that hateth peace.
7I am in favor of peace; but when I speak, they are in favor of war.7I am for peace: but when I speak, they are for war.
