Psalm 120
ISV Parallel NIV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
International Standard VersionNew International Version
1I cried to the LORD in my distress, and he responded to me.1A song of ascents. I call on the LORD in my distress, and he answers me.
2"LORD, deliver me from lips that lie and tongues that deceive."2Save me, LORD, from lying lips and from deceitful tongues.
3What will be given to you, and what will be done to you, you treacherous tongue?3What will he do to you, and what more besides, you deceitful tongue?
4Like a sharp arrow from a warrior, along with fiery coals from juniper trees!4He will punish you with a warrior's sharp arrows, with burning coals of the broom bush.
5How terrible for me, that I am an alien in Meshech, that I reside among the tents of Kedar!5Woe to me that I dwell in Meshek, that I live among the tents of Kedar!
6I have resided too long with those who hate peace.6Too long have I lived among those who hate peace.
7I am in favor of peace; but when I speak, they are in favor of war.7I am for peace; but when I speak, they are for war.
