Psalm 108
ISV Parallel NLT [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
International Standard VersionNew Living Translation
My heart is firm, God; I will sing and praise you with my whole being.1My heart is confident in you, O God; no wonder I can sing your praises with all my heart!
Awake, harp and lyre! I will wake up at dawn.2Wake up, lyre and harp! I will wake the dawn with my song.
I will give thanks to you among the peoples, LORD! I will sing praise to you among the nations.3I will thank you, LORD, among all the people. I will sing your praises among the nations.
For your gracious love extends to the sky, and your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.4For your unfailing love is higher than the heavens. Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.
May you be exalted above the heavens, God, and your glory be over all the earth.5Be exalted, O God, above the highest heavens. May your glory shine over all the earth.
In order that those you love may be rescued, deliver with your power and answer me!6Now rescue your beloved people. Answer and save us by your power.
God had promised in his sanctuary: "I will triumph and divide Shechem, then I will measure the valley of Succoth!7God has promised this by his holiness : “I will divide up Shechem with joy. I will measure out the valley of Succoth.
Gilead and Manasseh belong to me, while Ephraim is my chief stronghold and Judah is my scepter.8Gilead is mine, and Manasseh, too. Ephraim, my helmet, will produce my warriors, and Judah, my scepter, will produce my kings.
Moab is my washbasin; I will fling my shoe on Edom and shout over Philistia."9But Moab, my washbasin, will become my servant, and I will wipe my feet on Edom and shout in triumph over Philistia.”
Who will lead me to the fortified city? Who will lead me as far as Edom?10Who will bring me into the fortified city? Who will bring me victory over Edom?
God, you have rejected us, have you not, since you did not march out with our army, God?11Have you rejected us, O God? Will you no longer march with our armies?
Give us help against the enemy, because human help is useless. 12Oh, please help us against our enemies, for all human help is useless.
I will find strength in God, for he will trample on our foes.13With God’s help we will do mighty things, for he will trample down our foes.
