KJV Parallel CSB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
King James BibleChristian Standard Bible
To the chief Musician, to Jeduthun, A Psalm of David. Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation.1I am at rest in God alone; my salvation comes from him.
He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved.2He alone is my rock and my salvation, my stronghold; I will never be shaken.
How long will ye imagine mischief against a man? ye shall be slain all of you: as a bowing wall shall ye be, and as a tottering fence.3How long will you threaten a man? Will all of you attack as if he were a leaning wall or a tottering fence?
They only consult to cast him down from his excellency: they delight in lies: they bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah.4They only plan to bring him down from his high position. They take pleasure in lying; they bless with their mouths, but they curse inwardly. Selah
My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.5Rest in God alone, my soul, for my hope comes from him.
He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved.6He alone is my rock and my salvation, my stronghold; I will not be shaken.
In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.7My salvation and glory depend on God, my strong rock. My refuge is in God.
Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.8Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts before him. God is our refuge. Selah
Surely men of low degree are vanity, and men of high degree are a lie: to be laid in the balance, they are altogether lighter than vanity.9Common people are only a vapor; important people, an illusion. Together on a scale, they weigh less than a vapor.
Trust not in oppression, and become not vain in robbery: if riches increase, set not your heart upon them.10Place no trust in oppression, or false hope in robbery. If wealth increases, don't set your heart on it.
God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God.11God has spoken once; I have heard this twice: strength belongs to God,
Also unto thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy: for thou renderest to every man according to his work.12and faithful love belongs to you, LORD. For you repay each according to his works.
