Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.1Τῇ ἐλευθερίᾳ ἡμᾶς Χριστὸς ἠλευθέρωσεν στήκετε οὖν καὶ μὴ πάλιν ζυγῷ δουλείας ἐνέχεσθε
Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.2Ἴδε ἐγὼ Παῦλος λέγω ὑμῖν ὅτι ἐὰν περιτέμνησθε Χριστὸς ὑμᾶς οὐδὲν ὠφελήσει
For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.3μαρτύρομαι δὲ πάλιν παντὶ ἀνθρώπῳ περιτεμνομένῳ ὅτι ὀφειλέτης ἐστὶν ὅλον τὸν νόμον ποιῆσαι
Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.4κατηργήθητε ἀπὸ Χριστοῦ οἵτινες ἐν νόμῳ δικαιοῦσθε τῆς χάριτος ἐξεπέσατε
For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.5Ἡμεῖς γὰρ Πνεύματι ἐκ πίστεως ἐλπίδα δικαιοσύνης ἀπεκδεχόμεθα
For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.6ἐν γὰρ Χριστῷ Ἰησοῦ οὔτε περιτομή τι ἰσχύει οὔτε ἀκροβυστία ἀλλὰ πίστις δι’ ἀγάπης ἐνεργουμένη
Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth?7Ἐτρέχετε καλῶς τίς ὑμᾶς ἐνέκοψεν ‹τῇ› ἀληθείᾳ μὴ πείθεσθαι
This persuasion cometh not of him that calleth you.8 πεισμονὴ οὐκ ἐκ τοῦ καλοῦντος ὑμᾶς
A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.9μικρὰ ζύμη ὅλον τὸ φύραμα ζυμοῖ
I have confidence in you through the Lord, that ye will be none otherwise minded: but he that troubleth you shall bear his judgment, whosoever he be.10ἐγὼ πέποιθα εἰς ὑμᾶς ἐν Κυρίῳ ὅτι οὐδὲν ἄλλο φρονήσετε δὲ ταράσσων ὑμᾶς βαστάσει τὸ κρίμα ὅστις ἐὰν
And I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I yet suffer persecution? then is the offence of the cross ceased.11Ἐγὼ δέ ἀδελφοί εἰ περιτομὴν ἔτι κηρύσσω τί ἔτι διώκομαι ἄρα κατήργηται τὸ σκάνδαλον τοῦ σταυροῦ
I would they were even cut off which trouble you.12Ὄφελον καὶ ἀποκόψονται οἱ ἀναστατοῦντες ὑμᾶς
For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.13Ὑμεῖς γὰρ ἐπ’ ἐλευθερίᾳ ἐκλήθητε ἀδελφοί μόνον μὴ τὴν ἐλευθερίαν εἰς ἀφορμὴν τῇ σαρκί ἀλλὰ διὰ τῆς ἀγάπης δουλεύετε ἀλλήλοις
For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.14 γὰρ πᾶς νόμος ἐν ἑνὶ λόγῳ πεπλήρωται ἐν τῷ Ἀγαπήσεις τὸν πλησίον σου ὡς σεαυτόν
But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.15εἰ δὲ ἀλλήλους δάκνετε καὶ κατεσθίετε βλέπετε μὴ ὑπ’ ἀλλήλων ἀναλωθῆτε
This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.16Λέγω δέ Πνεύματι περιπατεῖτε καὶ ἐπιθυμίαν σαρκὸς οὐ μὴ τελέσητε
For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.17 γὰρ σὰρξ ἐπιθυμεῖ κατὰ τοῦ Πνεύματος τὸ δὲ Πνεῦμα κατὰ τῆς σαρκός ταῦτα γὰρ ἀλλήλοις ἀντίκειται ἵνα μὴ ἐὰν θέλητε ταῦτα ποιῆτε
But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.18εἰ δὲ Πνεύματι ἄγεσθε οὐκ ἐστὲ ὑπὸ νόμον
Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,19Φανερὰ δέ ἐστιν τὰ ἔργα τῆς σαρκός ἅτινά ἐστιν πορνεία ἀκαθαρσία ἀσέλγεια
Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.21φθόνοι μέθαι κῶμοι καὶ τὰ ὅμοια τούτοις προλέγω ὑμῖν καθὼς προεῖπον ὅτι οἱ τὰ τοιαῦτα πράσσοντες βασιλείαν Θεοῦ οὐ κληρονομήσουσιν
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,22 δὲ καρπὸς τοῦ Πνεύματός ἐστιν ἀγάπη χαρά εἰρήνη μακροθυμία χρηστότης ἀγαθωσύνη πίστις
Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.23πραΰτης ἐγκράτεια κατὰ τῶν τοιούτων οὐκ ἔστιν νόμος
And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.24Οἱ δὲ τοῦ Χριστοῦ Ἰησοῦ τὴν σάρκα ἐσταύρωσαν σὺν τοῖς παθήμασιν καὶ ταῖς ἐπιθυμίαις
If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.25Εἰ ζῶμεν Πνεύματι Πνεύματι καὶ στοιχῶμεν
Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.26μὴ γινώμεθα κενόδοξοι ἀλλήλους προκαλούμενοι ἀλλήλοις φθονοῦντες
