Psalm 20
KJV Parallel ISV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
King James BibleInternational Standard Version
1To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The LORD hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee;1May the LORD answer you in the day of distress; may the name of the God of Jacob protect you.
2Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion;2May he send you help from the sanctuary, and may he sustain you from Zion.
3Remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt sacrifice; Selah.3May he remember all your gifts, and may he accept your burnt offerings. Interlude
4Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfil all thy counsel.4May he give you what your heart desires, and may he fulfill all your plans.
5We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: the LORD fulfil all thy petitions.5May we shout for joy at your deliverance and unfurl our banners in the name of our God. May the LORD fulfill all your petitions.
6Now know I that the LORD saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand.6Now I know that the LORD has delivered his anointed; he has answered him from his sanctuary with the strength of his right hand of deliverance.
7Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.7Some boast in chariots, others in horses; but we will boast in the name of the LORD our God.
8They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright.8While they bowed down and fell, we arose and stood upright.
9Save, LORD: let the king hear us when we call.9Deliver us, LORD! Answer us, our King, on the day we cry out!
